We are very sad to inform you that as a Board and staff, we have made the final decision to cancel the entire 2020 season of the Roslyn Farmers Market. This decision did not come easily for any of us and we know that you may be very disappointed in hearing this outcome.
Ultimately, the decision was made unanimously by the Board after considering the serious concerns and uncertainty associated with the coronavirus, the impact of tourism from the Market's weekly attendance on our small community of less than 1000 people, and the challenges that would be associated with regulating crowd control, sanitation, and social distancing in our market location.
Please know that we did not come upon this decision lightly and we know that markets are essential businesses. We are doing this for our community, as many of you know what a popular destination the market is to our small town, and the impact is too unpredictable.
We are hoping to work with local farmers and food processors to get their produce to our local area and in stores/businesses. We are hoping to find a way that our artisans and crafters can also be contacted by people at our website:
We will very much miss seeing each of you on Sundays in the summer. At this date, the Ellensburg Market is still scheduled for Saturday mornings for farmers and soap vendors. We encourage people to visit that market while keeping social distancing in mind. Our regards and wishes that you and yours are all well and that you continue that way until we see you again next year!
